My first project at Avid (as a contractor) was creating a handful of icons for Avid Sports. I was then asked to create icons for Avid Cinema. When I saw what they were doing, I offered suggestions for improvments on the UI and was asked to review other parts of the project and was eventually hired full time and continued in the Art Director/Product Designer roles.

 

 

 

• Create mockups and prepare and deliver image assets to development.

• Ensured visual consistency across the GUI, documentation, website, marketing materials, and multimedia pieces.

• Collaborate with writers to develop page layout, styles, and graphics for online help and hard copy documentation.

• Collaborate with Marketing on brand and package design. Recruited and art directed contract artists to design consumer packaging and draw hardware illustration for the online help.

• Created simple prototypes, tested with users, and incorporated feed back into the design where appropriate.
